Things have been quiet here. It's driving me mad. The silence is almost oppressive and it reminds me too much of the past years. Sitting here, waiting for news, not receiving any, wondering if Lucius would return...

I need something to occupy myself. I think a social event of a larger scale would ease my mind. Of course, killing two birds with one stone, as it were, would be even better. Bringing the name of Malfoy back into the good spotlight would serve many purposes, even if it means spending my evening with those of lesser caliber. I believe I heard a rumour about the French woman starting a charity. That would suit my needs well.

Mme Weasley, I have heard about your noble charity work to help those unfortunate children orphaned by the war. I am a bit of a philanthropist in my own right and would be happy to help with your project. However, I feel that simply giving a donation will not be enough. I'm overjoyed to see that Hogsmeade is coming back to life after an era of darkness and oppression. I sincerely hope that the village will surpass its former glory and remain to be a beacon of Wizarding life, not only in Britain, but throughout Europe.
